'All Khan's are unique'

Actor Kareena Kapoor talks about working with all the five Khans in Bollywood this year — Shah Rukh, Aamir, Salman, Saif and Imran

While most actresses only hope to work with the topmost actors in Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor's doing it already. This year alone, the actor has five films in hand, with the five Khans of the industry — Shah Rukh, Aamir, Salman, Saif and Imran. Point this out and Kareena says excitedly, "Yes, it's going to be a 'Khantastic' year for me. Working with each one of them is so interesting in it's own way."
But Kareena admits that she finds it hard to compare the five. "How can there be comparisons?" she questions. "I share a different equation with each one of them and besides, they all have different styles and methods of acting. So it's difficult to choose one over the other," she adds.
Their different acting styles also means Kareena has to adapt to their methods. No mean task, as she's shooting back-to-back with all of them, one after the other. "Yes, the switch is challenging. I think it really tests an actor, but then when you enjoy acting as much as I do, it becomes more of a fun process," she says.
Talking about each one of the Khans, Kareena says that Aamir is someone she has tremendous respect for, while Shah Rukh, she simply adores. Salman pampers her silly, while Imran is a lot of fun to be with. As for Saif, "He's obviously closest to my heart and my most favourite Khan too," she beams.
"Aamir inspires to give in your better than the best performance and he's more methodical, while Shah Rukh is an absolute live wire. His energy on the sets is unbeatable. Salman is totally spontaneous and I have a lot of fun shooting with him. Imran is closer to age so it's fun bonding with him too," says Kareena.
Like the five different Khans, even the genres of all her films are way different from each other. While Ra.One is a sci-fi thriller, Bodyguard is a romantic story and Short Term Shaadi is a rom-com. Agent Vinod is an action thriller, while Reema Kagti's film with Aamir is a suspense drama. And she has no particular favourite when it comes to genres too. Kareena's quick to add, "I enjoy the process of acting, that's all. Whether it's comedy or romance really doesn't matter," she concludes.

Skintillating!

Actor Jacqueline Fernandez has absolutely no qualms about skin show

Ever since she stepped into the sizzling shoes of actor Mallika Sherawat for the sequel of the film Murder 2, actor Jacqueline Fernandez has been causing a lot of buzz as she's better known for her demure, good girl image.
But the Sri Lankan beauty is far from being nervous or apprehensive about being compared to Mallika's sensual act. "It's absolutely okay if comparisons are made. Besides, it's natural to be compared to Mallika because she did the film Murder, and I'm doing the sequel. I have never met Mallika and I don't know her personally, but from what I've seen of her, I think she is a good actor."
Jacqueline is also unfazed by the fact that the film will have a lot of skin-show and intimate scenes. "I have been a model and done many photo-shoots and shows so I am the most comfortable with my body. Plus as actors, these scenes are always a part of a story. There are 50 -100 crew members when we shoot these scenes, so it's all work and no play!"
But did she have any apprehensions before she took on the project and she brushes it aside, "Not at all. Murder 2 is a very interesting story; it's backed by the Bhatts who are known to make good quality film. Mohit is a good director, Emi is a good actor, and there was no reason to have apprehensions."
Jackie, as she is fondly called in the industry, is looking forward to what the audience's reaction to her pairing with actor Emraan Hashmi. "I feel we have good chemistry on screen," she says.

Sallu wants to play the field

Actor Salman Khan has sports on his mind and it goes beyond cricket; has no problems playing football with rumoured rival (in matters of the heart) Ranbir Kapoor too

If you thought that star Salman Khan isn't the sporty kind, then think again. The actor is into sports and how! Not only is he involved in a celebrity cricket league which involves film actors from all the film industries across the country, but has some big plans for football and basketball as well.
Salman confirms about his sport plans, "Yes, we are ready with the cricket league. As of now we have four teams — Bollywood (called the Mumbai Heroes), Tamil, Telugu and Kannada film industries. Sohail (Khan) is handling it. I will be there to cheer for our boys. It will be as competitive as any other cricket tournament," he smiles.
He adds, "This is just the beginning. We want all regional film industries like Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali, Bhojpuri to join us. It's a serious affair."
However, the actor is quick to emphasise that he's just as passionate about football too. "Football is as big as cricket, in fact kids love it more as it's easier to play and is a no-frills game. All it needs, unlike cricket, is an open space and a ball. But unfortunately there aren't many football grounds here, and I want to concentrate on that first. Then there's basketball, for which you need even lesser space and just a basket and a ball!" he adds.
Ask Salman about rumours of actor Ranbir Kapoor showing interest in being a part of the celebrity cricket team, and he says, "I don't know if he is interested in cricket, but we've played football together and he plays well. When I do something for football, I shall keep him in mind."

Hatrick For ANIL KAPOOR

Actor ANIL KAPOOR bags yet another international project after SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE and MI:4

Seems like actor Anil Kapoor is Hollywood's new blue-eyed boy. After the Oscar-winning Danny Boyle film, he bagged an important role in the Tom Cruise mega-budget installment of Mission Impossible, where he will share screen space with Cruise.
And if well placed sources in the industry are to be believed, the actor is now going to be seen in an upcoming financial thriller by director Roger Donaldson. Titled Cities, the film will star Clive Owen and Anil Kapoor in important roles. The film will be launched at the upcoming Cannes Film Market.
The film tells three intertwining stories: a hedge fund manager in New York seemingly has everything; a young couple in London who are attempting to buy a new home and a cop in Mumbai fights against corruption between property speculators and colleagues, which in all probability will be played by Kapoor. The filming is set to begin in October in New York, London and India.
Reportedly, a major portion of the film will also be shot in Mumbai. Donaldson co-wrote the script from an original script titled Extreme Cities, written by Glenn Wilhide. About his foray into Hollywood, Anil had earlier said, "It has been wonderful making new friends and working so closely with people who share the same passion for cinema as you. I've never planned my career. I've taken each day as it comes, done work that made me happy no matter what the outcome. Life's turned out to be better than I'd ever dreamt of."
